Plog from Vardø -- Church with Radar

On a windy morning, I sketched this view in my ubiquitous Moleskine from the hotel pier.

Came by Hurtigruten, the Coastal Steamer, to this old, important bastion at the North-Eastern tip of Norway.

Vardø has amazing scenery and through a weird and wonderful lunar landscape (where we saw a sea eagle) and where Vardø people have their holiday cabins, you reach this old deserted fishing village, Hamningberg.

A good if extreme place to gather for a friend's 50th birthday!

Wow, people turning 50 all over the place! Vardo looks like a very cool place. Thanks for the watercolour and the links.

this is good, too, Aisha.

I'd wait to let it dry before you close the book, however....:>)
