This is one of your better watercolor drawings. I can see you took your time on this. Not just a rapid sketch, but a thoughtful rendition of what you saw.

Progress...

Shister, there is such delicate
rendition in these watercolors. Keep on, please.

Thank you...from someone who knows delcate (great that you are writing poems again!) I am happy to receive that compliment ... and Vardø is miles and MILES to the north-east of Lofoten, so probably no, not as a group -- unless we take more than a week or so.

I looked at a map. Vardo is north, compared to Lofoten. Go any further and you fall onto the other side of the world :).

I'm also really enjoying these. Wish I was creative enough to draw and write, instead of just photographing and writing.

Helm.

Helm--
Jerry is right, I did work on the buildings--my Elementary Drawing teacher a coulpe of years back told me I "had a problem with proportions" -- hmm, in every way? :)

Photography ends up too technical for me...carrying that thing called SZX Kodak Canon DP2 with a 120 mm CW lens...so much sexier to carry colours and a brush. Looking through that tunnel...I dunno.

(Also my photos were never any GOOD :)) There is that.)

And so peaceful to take my time over a scene.

Yes, near the Pole, a short swim across to Alaska.
