Polly Put The Kettle On...
A shock to everyone's view of the typical Briton -- not drinking tea as they used to!
Brown Betty a thing of the past?
And what will happen to the nursery rhyme?
Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
We'll all have tea.
Sukey take it off again,
Sukey take it off again,
Sukey take it off again,
They've all gone away.

Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,

We'll all have tea.
Sukey take it off again,

Well, I guess it's up to the "colonies" to uphold the tradition then. I'm doing my bit. MY Brown Betty gets a work out every morning.
Actually, I'm wondering now if the one I have is a true Brown Betty. The lid is not quite the same. But the colour is right, and it pours like a real teapot should.

A subject dear to my heart. Every day when I get home from work (about 5ish) I ask myself, tea or wine? Love them both!

Oh, almost forgot. See my teapot on my blog.
I have never heard of Brown Betty before! I'm glad I have now. I want to meet her.
