Quiz for Wingtips
For Paula, who passed the relay baton to me (Wingtips in my Links):
You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
Pattern Recognition by William Gibson -- hunting cool :)
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Of course. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.
The last book you bought is:
L'Usage du Monde by Nicholas Bouvier (Swiss travel writer) 1963 -- in a Norwegian translation.
The last book you read:
P. Wentworth: Meurtre a Craddock House. A very silly detective story from 1939, British in a French translation.
What are you currently reading?
The Shipping News by A. Proulx (second reading) and a German detective story from the Mosel River area, by Mischa Martini.
Five books you would take to a deserted island:
1-The Shipping News
2-Pattern Recognition
3- All of Us (Raymond Carver)
4- Segues (William Stafford and Marvin Bell)
5- The October Palace (Jane Hirshfield)
or maybe the chapbooks of my cyber poetry friends, with loving dedications, to feel less alone!
Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why? --
Teper Ranger because he likes a challenge
Carol S. because she is a NUN and a true intellectual
Miss New Orleans: Laurie because her father is a professional clown and she is funny.

Aisha, I accept your challenge and will respond and pass it on. But, first I need a nap.
OK, first, its Ranger Teper, second, what, exactly, am I supposed to do? and third, I've never read Farenheit 451, so what does that first question mean? Betcha didn't think it would be this complicated, eh?
RT
Thanks, Laurie! Exhausted from shopping?
Teper, you are such a stickler for details - I hadn't read it either, just heard of it, but a summary can be found at http://www.gradesaver.com/ClassicNotes/Titles/fahrenheit/shortsumm.html,
and as Paula says, jsut answer the questions, preferably in (is it on or in?) your blog...and challenge some other victims.
Cool idea, Paula.
But I don't get it. I mean, if I were a book in F451, I'd be scared shitless... I don't understand what qualities the question is meant to elicit. Anyway, I'll give it a shot, but it may take a while. I'll probably have to take a trip out to Calgary this week. My Grandfather isn't doing so well.

I'm done!
Ranger -- sorry about your grandfather. Been travelling a bit myself.
You'll get there... Fireproof book maybe?
Laurie,
I know-- I read and enjoyed. Cool thatsomeone else erads several books at once!
